Originally from the UK, where he learned to play bridge (ACOL), in South Africa his past bridge administration roles include committee member of CTWBC; secretary and committee member of the WCBU; and Chairperson of the Hermanus Duplicate Bridge Club (HDBC).
Brian is a chemical engineer who worked in IT and finance around the world before founding MBendi Information Services which ran Africa's leading business website for 25 years. From 2021 to 2024 he was the secretary of the WCBU and editor of their monthly newsletter read by thousands of bridge players.
